This band is quickly becoming a favourite of mine amongst Bandcamp finds. Rhythmically and tonally rich, they are laying out themes in winding paths, but leading you through by the hand. There's a sensitivity here... with just enough heavy.
Favorite track: Chocolat.
Following the releases of «Grain» and «Clôture», Darius' third opus «Voir» lives up to their reputation. After heading to Laval (FR) to meet with young producer Amaury Sauvé (Birds in Row), the five Fribourgers came back with a massive record whose overview is worthy of a CinemaScope western. Their twenty-two guitar strings compose a surprising orchestral landscape that masterfully oscillates between abstract noise rock and instrumental post-rock. Their playing has refined although it hasn’t soothed; Darius’ formula stays the same. Being poles apart from effects, manners and make-up, these five lads play for the sake of passion, honor and camaraderie. A beautiful live band to be taken in the face, with open arms, calm breath and a battling heart. [L. Jucker]

This album breaks conventions with most post-metal. It at once can be played next to shoegaze then breaks out into a fury of aggression and still remain catchy. For my money Rosetta are at the top of the food chain. After all the amazing albums Rosetta has, it boggles the mind that they can still innovate and surprise me. I love that I can play this next bands as diverse as Ride, Slowdive, Joy Division, The Cure, Godflesh, and Neurosis. It's a pure delight on the ears. Bryon Wilson
Very good stuff. Russian circles is a band that creates interesting music, a true musical trip. A lot of ambiances. All their albums are great. My favourites are "enter", "blood year", "empros" and "station". On this one Milano and quartered are fucking heavy. And it's what I need to hear! johanmasson
